Recycling is important to the natural environment and to us. Recycling is a process of turning waste into new substance or product. This is an excellent way to preserve the environment and reduce global carbon emissions. Recycling saves extracting new raw materials and preserves resources for the future generations. Moreover, it saves energy as it takes less energy to produce from recycled material than extracting, refining, transporting and processing raw materials. When we recycle there is no need for the extraction of fresh raw materials which are often linked to water and air pollution. Recycling contributes to national targets of waste reductions and diverts waste from landfill preventing additional GHG emissions and waste production.
