Former Murdoch editor denies calling in government favours

Rebekah Brooks, the former chief of the Rupert Murdoch-owned News of the World, told a government inquiry that she never wielded inappropriate influence with the British government.

Brooks resigned from her position after it came out that the newspaper had hacked a slain school girl's mobile phone voicemail.
