Senegal, the only country in West Africa that did not suffer a military coup, has added yet another feather to its cap.

The country saw a peaceful run-off presidential election on Monday with opposition candidate Macky Sall defeating incumbent President Abdoulaye Wade.

Fifty-year-old Sall is working on forming a new government.

Working fast on the steep cost of living is high on the agenda, Sall told Al Jazeera.
