Refugees flock to Greece despite crisis

Greece's economic crisis has done nothing to stem the flow of illegal immigrants, for whom it's a key way into the European Union.

The EU says that 55,000 people were caught entering Greece from Turkey in 2011- an estimated 17 per cent increase on 2010.

They arrive in Greece hoping to move on to wealthier countries.

Al Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips reports, they often end up being stuck there, in increasingly desperate conditions.
