New Jersey Governor Chris Christie delivering the keynote address at the Republican convention in Tampa told the crowd that republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney would not be swayed by polls and could deliver the hard truths when needed.
With U.S. President Barack Obama leading in likability polls, Christie said that is not always when is needed.
(SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) NEW JERSEY GOVERNOR CHRIS CHRISTIE, SAYING:
"Our leaders today have decided it is more important to be popular, to do what is easy and say "yes," rather than to say no when no is what is required."
He said Romney can deliver when it comes to creating jobs.

Mitt Romney will tell us the hard truths we need to hear to put us back on the path to growth and create good paying private sector jobs again in America.
Earlier on Tuesday Republicans officially nominated Mitt Romney to challenge President Barack Obama for the White House in November.
