Elvis Presley's Dirty Underwear Set To Be Auctioned Off - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.
There’s an abundance of Elvis Presley memorabilia out there. But, some die-hard fans want strictly authenticated belongings of the famous singer.
One of the most recent items up for auction is a pair of his dirty underwear. Expected to fetch over $15,000, the undergarment was reportedly worn by Elvis under his signature white jumpsuit during a 1977 concert. The unwashed underwear is light blue in color, complete with bodily stains. From the estate of Elvis’s father, the pair will be up for bidding next month in Stockport, United Kingdom as part of the ‘Elvis Presley pop memorabilia’ auction. The auction is expected to garner attention from around the world as the date is very close to the 35th anniversary of the star’s death.
Also on the genuine memorabilia list for this year’s auction is Presley’s bible, expected to sell for around $35,000. The bible was given to him as a Christmas present in 1957 by family members and has handwritten notes and thoughts.
