Rupee slide impacts Indian economy

India's currency, the rupee, has hit an all-time low against the US dollar weighed by the high cost of importing oil and widening trade deficit.

It is the latest proof that times are getting tough for Asia's third largest economy, which is already suffering from sluggish growth and high inflation.

Economists predict the rupee will slide further in the coming days.
