The News Corp phone hacking scandal continues to engulf police and politicians, with a second senor police officer resigning.

John Yates, the UK's top counter-terrorism officer has quit, leaving the leadership of the force in turmoil.
 
Prime Minister David Cameron is to cut short his trip to Africa and will return to Britain to address the crisis at an emergency parliamentary debate on Wednesday.
