Afghan returnees find little waiting for them at home

For many Afghans the fall of the Taliban meant a return home away from the hardships of life as a refugee.

But the vast majority have returned to live in poverty in isolated parts of the Afghan capital with only basic services.

Now with Pakistan threatening not to renew the refugee status of 1.7 million Afghan refugees living within their borders, many Afghans from Pakistan have returned home to find that the food, shelter and money promised to them by Pakistani authorities were not awaiting them in their homeland.

Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse reports from Kabul on the new hardships Afghan returnees face once they arrive on Afghan soil.
