The latest demonstrations across Syria have been met once again, with violence by the country's security forces.
Activists say that an updated figure of at least 20 people were killed on Friday.
Chanting "Death rather than Humiliation", hundreds of protesters came took to the streets in in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor.
Some people demanded the execution of their leader, President Bashar al-Assad, even calling him a traitor.
