Grammy winning musician Alanis Morissette got her hands dirty after pressing them into wet cement for her induction into Guitar Center's RockWalk in Los Angeles on Tuesday (August 21). August marks a busy month for the songstress, with her new album dropping next week.

SOUNDBITE Alanis Morissette saying (English):

"This record has all these themes that I care deeply about. Women's issues and patriarchy and misogyny and chauvinism are kind of going away and alpha women are not having our heads chopped off anymore. We're being celebrated, heaven forbid. It's a really exciting time to be alive as a woman."

Past inductees of the RockWalk, which started in 1985, include Stevie Wonder, Eddie Van Halen, The Ramones and more. Honorees are chosen to be part of the exclusive list of musicians by other inductees.

Morissette scored a monster hit with her third album, 1995's "Jagged Little Pill," winning Grammys for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album. The 1995 single "You Oughta Know," a tirade against a former boyfriend, won Grammys for Best Rock Song and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.

Morissette has won a total of seven Grammys, 12 Canadian Juno Awards and sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. Her new album, "Havoc and Bright Lights," will be released on August 28.
