Members of the punk band Pussy Riot arrive at a Moscow courthouse where the verdict in their case will be read today.
The three Pussy Riot members are on trial for staging an anti-Kremlin protest on the alter of Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral from where they called "Holy Mother, Hush Putin Away."
Security is high around the courthouse, where Pussy Riot supporters are expected to come in large numbers to show their solidarity with the defendants.
The state prosecutor in the case has demanded a three-year jail sentence for the women on charges of hooliganism motivated by religious hatred.
But the musicians say their show was intended to highlight the close ties between the Russian Orthodox Church and the state, and not to offend believers.
Their lawyers say the defendants have not received a fair trail and the verdict will be dictated by the Kremlin.
