Survey Reveals Coffee Preferences Across Professions - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Most of us can't survive without our morning coffee. A recent survey explored coffee preferences across various professions.

In a tribute to National Coffee Day, CareerBuilder and Dunkin’ Donuts partnered up to determine Americans’ coffee drinking trends in the workplace. The questionnaire involved approximately 4,700 employees in various professions. The survey concluded that 46% of participants claimed to be less productive at work when the “cup of Joe” was missed. The occupation that required the most coffee is a lab scientist or technician. Second on the list - marketing professionals, followed by education administrators, writers, healthcare administrators, and physicians.

There's also the geographic variation. 49% of Northeastern workers need coffee the most, followed by 47% of Westerners and 45 percent of Southerners and Midwestern employees. 61% of working coffee drinkers consume two or more cups each day, while 28% drink three or more cups.
