India orders investigation over slain political activist

Authorities in the eastern Indian state of Bihar have ordered an investigation into the killing of a senior political figure.

The incident's triggered a violent reaction in the state.

Brahm-eshwar Singh was the head of the Ranvir Sena, a militia which targeted Hindus from the lowest caste.

He is believed to have been involved in the murder of more than 300 people.
