Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Van Damme may be old...ok...they are old...but they can still draw a crowd and that was evident on Wednesday night when they shut down Hollywood Blvd. for the premiere of "The Expendables 2."

Fans lined up for blocks outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre hoping for a chance to see their favorite 80's action film stars.

"The Expendables 2" is a sequel to 2010 box-office hit, and sees the Rocky and Rambo actor joined by Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris.

The film tells the story of a band of old-school mercenaries who are re-united when they are hired to take on a seemingly simple job, but must take revenge when one of their own is killed.

The movie also marks Schwarzenegger's return to full-time movie making after the end of his seven-year tenure as governor of California.

SOUNDBITE Arnold Schwarzenegger saying (English):

"When you do these action movies you just have to recognize the fact that it takes longer to recuperate and you will be sore the next day and all those kind of things. But, so what, right, so what."

Schwarzenegger did admit he and his co-stars were fierce rivals back at the peak of their fame in the 1980s, but said being able to work with them was great.

"The Expendables 2' will be released in the US on August 17.
