UK unemployment figures improve

In the three months leading to June, an additional 201 thousand jobs were created in the economy here. Unemployment has gone down too to 46,000 people, that's around 8 per cent of the population. BUT - that rise, at a time when the British economy is still contracting bears closer scrutiny. It shrank by 0.7 percent and has been in recession for nine months.
