The Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible exemplifies British refinement and engineering – it is stunningly powerful and fast, and yet still self-possessed and contained. While nothing can be perfect, this car certainly achieves greatness. The Supersports Convertible is powered by a monstrous twin-turbo, six-liter W12 engine that produces 621 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The power, though, is transferred to the road through a well-tuned all-wheel drive system, which gives the car exceptional grip and handling despite its 5,280 pound curb-weight. Likewise, the power and traction allow it to do 202 mph on the track and 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Not only is the Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible incredibly quick, it is also the lap of luxury. The interior is trimmed in leather and carbon fiber and steel. From the outside, the car is striking yet refined, both with the top up and down. The only minor problem with the car is the cup holders. There are only two cup holders for four seats, and they are too small for a standard cup of drive-through coffee. But so-so cup holders can easily be ignored in the context of a vehicle as nearly perfect as the Continental Supersports. Bentley has succeeded in wedding sporting performance with luxury, and the Supersports Convertible can surely be considered a triumph.
