After several carseats tried and returned for my large 20 pound 6 month old (including Sunshine-Radian/Cosco/Graco) this is the one that fits in my car! The car is a Mazda-CX7 with both an unfortunate tilt in the rear seat and a minimum of space that made rear-facing seats difficult to use while still attaining the proper 30-45 degree angle recommended for rear-facing infants. This car seat worked and pleasantly well---freeing up a good 4-5 inches of space behind my infant's head and the car's front passenger seat. Material is good with good padding--so much so that he fell asleep in it today and he rarely does that so far in carseats. His head was not tilted or slumped and was held in place by the deep-side impact shell. The stellar safety rating of the seat doesn't hurt either!;) If I had ONE bad thing to say it would be the side impact and height of the seat make it slightly harder to heave kiddo in and out---but that's also what makes it so good, so I wouldn't really complain about it.
