Madonna has once again shown her support for Russian punk band Pussy Riot. At her Moscow concert, the singer stripped off her shirt to reveal the band's name written on her back. She told the crowd that she was praying for the band members' freedom.

As for the band, their trial wrapped up on Wednesday (August 08) and a judge said a verdict would be issued next week. If convicted, they face up to seven years in prison. The group was arrested after an impromptu performance in Moscow's main cathedral calling for an end to Vladimir Putin's rule.

Bob Hoskins has announced that he is retiring from acting after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. The 69-year-old British acting legend has been in more than 80 films. In a statement, he thanked fans for their support and said he had a "wonderful career."

Finally, Randy Travis has been arrested in Texas on charges of drunk driving. The singer was found naked alongside the road with his car wrecked. The singer suffered a black eye and some cuts from the accident. He reportedly also made verbal threats to the arresting officers. He was later released on bail.
