I thought everybody loved the singing cowboy Gene Autry, but not in this serial! Autry just wants to perform his daily radio show with his friends, but his Radio Ranch just happens to be sitting on top of a vast store of radium AND located near the hidden entrance to the lost underground city of Murania. The unscrupulous scientist Professor Beetson (J. Frank Glendon) and his greedy associates want to eliminate Gene Autry in order to shut down the ranch and gain possession of the valuable radium deposits. The sheriff wants to imprison Autry for a murder he didn't commit. Even worse, the ruthless tyrant Queen Tika of Murania (Dorothy Christie) wants Autry dead because she believes the stream of visitors to Radio Ranch is a potential threat to Murania's security. Helping Autry are his two kid sidekicks Frankie & Betsy Baxter (Frankie Darro and Betsy King Ross, who did all their own riding stunts) and best friends Oscar (Smiley Burnette) and Pete (William Moore).
