Trash collectors and cleaning staff working at Brighton and Hove City Council in England had an exceptionally rough day last week. An unknown culprit decided to heat human excrement in the business microwave oven. The contaminated microwave was cleaned and sealed up, looking like a crime scene and council officials are now determined to catch the mischief maker. According to The Argus news, the microwave could not be removed right away as it was bolted to the wall, but Brighton Council officials say they will not be replacing the machine.
In an equal disturbing report from 2008, three Utah teenagers heated up human waste in a convenience store microwave. They reportedly put the bag of excrement in the microwave and set the timer for 10 minutes, before leaving the 7-Eleven. The store had to be closed temporarily due to the foul stench. Store surveillance was broadcasted on local news stations and police soon arrested the three adolescents who caused $3,500 worth of damages. A Police official noted, “They said they did it as a prank.”
