London remains deserted during Olympic games

In England, Picadilly circus is an age old metaphor for crowds and traffic jams, but during the Olympics there are a lot fewer people in the city. Londoners seemed to have been sppoked by security or traffic warnings, more apparently leaving the country than there have been tourists arriving. The upside to the problem for some is that hotel prices have gone down, so either domestic tourists or people a short-haul flight away can get a cheap last minute deal. Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from London.
