Snoop drops the dogg and picks up a lion.
After conquering hip-hop with his canine-themed moniker, the California rapper is now preparing to enter the world of reggae as Snoop Lion.
In a statement he says he was re-christened Snoop Lion by Rastafarian priests and that he wants to bury Snoop Dogg.
Fans will be able to watch Snoop Lion's transformation in the documentary "Reincarnated," which will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
