STORY: On the second day of his visit to Poland, U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney toured Warsaw's World War Two monuments and met with veterans and holocaust survivors.

In the midst of a presidential campaign that is too close to call, Romney left the United States last Wednesday for a week-long trip to attend the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in London and visit Israel and Poland.

The aim is to give the former Massachusetts governor some foreign policy credentials and let Americans get a glimpse of him in action overseas as they decide whether to vote for him in the November 6 general election to replace Obama.
