Romanians will vote on Sunday on whether their president should be removed from office. Traian Basescu is urging people to boycott the vote, accusing Prime Minister Victor Ponta of a coup. Besescu has survived an impeachment referendum before but austerity measures and scandals have blown a big hole in his popularity and the threat of an ambitious opponent in his prime minister, Victor Ponta, may spell political troubles.
