Violence in Syria spills over into Lebanon.
At least 12 people were hurt in Tripoli shootings late Friday night as neighbours clashed over the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad.
The gunmen used automatic rifles and rocket-propelled grenades in the attacks.
In response, Lebanese forces tightened security in the area.
Clashes in this northern city have become frequent, with no end in sight to Syria's crackdown on rebel fighters and their supporters.
