Slovakia appears to reached an agreement which would see it approve changes to the European Union bailout fund by the end of the week.
The country's politicians had been deadlocked over expanding the size and powers of the EU fund.
Slovakia had been the only country in the 17-member eurozone which had not approved the plan.
