The war in Afghanistan brought many foreigners to the country - through aid agencies and NGOs..

The influx pushed up property prices in the capital, but now, the bubble has burst.

A series of high-profile attacks in the city, announcements of troop drawdowns and a smaller amount of international aid money have caused some house prices to fall by as much as 40 per cent.
