Eurozone shaken by uncertainty in Greece and Italy

European shares fell in choppy trade as uncertainties over the selection of a new leader in Italy added to investors' jitters.

Greece may have chosen a new leader, but the debt problems there still threaten the whole of the eurozone.

The European Union's economic watchdog predicts some countries in the region could be heading for recession in 2012.

As European Union's debt crisis continues to spiral out of control, governments have moved quickly to deny they're preparing for some members leaving the eurozone.
