The US space agency (Nasa) has revealed its new heavy-lift, deep-space rocket, which it says will carry astronauts further than ever before.

The rocket is similar to the renowned Saturn 5, which transported humans to the moon four decades ago, however the new one is 20 times more powerful.

The development of the new rocket and all its systems is set to take 14 years before its first mission to an asteroid.

Al Jazeera's Monica Villamizar has more from the US state of Washington.
