A US diplomatic document released by WikiLeaks sheds new light on prison riots which happened in Sednaya in Syria in 2008.
The cable alleges that prisoners in Sednaya had been trained and sent to fight against American troops in the Iraq war.
They rioted after being put back into jail after their return from fighting, the document claims.
Amnesty International says 52 prisoners went missing and another 22 were killed, after government forces went in to control the violence.
Al Jazeera's Clayton Swisher has more details.
