The US government says the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has foiled a plot by an al-Qaeda-linked group in Yemen to bomb an aeroplane going to America.
The suspected attack was apparently scheduled to take place around the one-year anniversary of Osama bin Laden's death.
It allegedly involved a more sophisticated version of the underwear bomb which failed to detonate over Detroit in 2009.
