Sherman Hemsley, the actor best known for his role as George Jefferson on the TV show, "The Jefferesons," has died.
The actor was found dead in his El Paso, Texas home, the cause and time of death was not immediately known.
After his ten year stint on "The Jeffersons," Hemsley played a deacon on the sitcom "Amen."
From there he went on to guest star on hits including "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" to "Family Guy."
Hemsely was 74-years-old.
