The forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have been reportedly bombarding al-Qusair, a town close to the Lebanese border, for months.

The death toll in the Homs town continues to mount and the injured suffer from poor medical care due to shortages in paramedics and medical supplies.

Most buildings in Qusair have been damaged by the shelling. Even the mosques have not been spared, activists say.

Al Jazeera's Jamal El-Shayyal reports.
