Police fire pepper spray pellets at protesters in Anaheim, California.

It's the second major clash between police and demonstrators in the city since an officer shot and killed an apparently unarmed man on Saturday.

The Tuesday demonstrations came a day after Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait called for a state and federal review of the shooting of the man -- a suspected gang member named Manuel Diaz.

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside City Hall, where officials were holding a regular meeting.

Protesters threw water bottles and rocks at a line of police officers.

Near the scene of the shooting on Saturday, police fired pepper spray pellets at angry residents protesting against the shooting of Diaz.

A German shepherd also got loose - police said it was an accident - and bit at least two people.
