Samer Muscati discusses UAE activists' verdicts

Five activists in the United Arab Emirates have been sent to jail for insulting its leaders and demanding political reforms.

Prominent blogger Ahmed Mansoor received a three-year sentence while four others were handed two-year jail terms, and they are not able to appeal.

They were arrested in April after signing an online petition demanding political reforms.

Samer Muscati from Human Rights Watch, who was in the courtroom, speaks to Al Jazeera about the case from Abu Dhabi.
