A UN special envoy has criticised the Security Council for failing to mention the risks of sexual violence against women in two recent resolutions on Libya.
In a speech to the council, Margot Wallstrom cited the highly publicised case of Eman al-Obeidy - the woman who burst into a Tripoli hotel last month to tell journalists she had been raped by pro-government fighters.
Wallstrom said other reports suggested al-Obeidy's case was not an isolated incident.
Al Jazeera's Scott Heidler, reporting from the UN headquarters in New York, had this to say on the issue.
