Qantas airways has grounded its fleet of flagship Airbus
A380 jets hours after a mid-air explosion forced an emergency landing at Singapore airport.

Officials said the plane experienced a "significant engine failure", shortly after taking off from Changi airport en route to Sydney.

Debris which is thought to belong to the Qantas plane was found on the Indonesian island of Batam.

The aircraft then turned around and returned to Singapore airport.
