It's a miracle he's even alive.

In the sewer system that weaves beneath the northern Colombian city of Baranquilla, a three-year-old boy -- reported missing on Tuesday by his family.

Rescuers pull the boy to safety -- he's soaking wet, but considering his ordeal, is doing well.

He disappeared on Tuesday while playing in a sand-filled construction zone with his two brothers.

Civil defence officials suspect the boy fell in a hole, unnoticed by his siblings.

Rescue teams searched the area at the time, including the sewer, but couldn't find him.

They later decided to do a second sweep of the sewer system, and that's when the boy was found.
