A bomb blast that killed at least five Israeli tourists in Bulgaria was carried out by an unidentified suicide bomber, the country's interior minister said Thursday.
(SOUNDBITE) (Bulgarian) BULGARIAN INTERIOR MINISTER, TSVETAN TSVETANOV, SAYING:
"It has been confirmed, that a suicide bomber triggered the blast in this terrorist act. The investigators found a driving license from Michigan. Our FBI colleges checked it out and confirmed the driving license is faked. Therefore, the bomber can't be identified at the moment."
Wednesday's blast happened on a bus carrying tourists who had just arrived from Israeli.
The bus was in a parking lot when it exploded killing the tourists, plus the Bulgarian driver and the bomber.
Witnesses say body parts were strewn across the ground and mangled metal hung from the bus's roof.
Israeli officials have accused Iranian-backed Hezbollah militants of carrying out the attack.
