LASIK Surgery Risks

2012-07-17 22

Although complications are rare during LASIK eye surgery, the currently accepted complication rate is 0.1%, there are still risks involved with the procedure. One of the most common risk factors is dry eye symptoms which most patients experience during the first few months after the surgery. This is usually resolved with prescription eye drops to moisten the eye but sometimes it persists and worsens. Dry eyes can be permanent and may require medication to increase tear production
