The Syrian government has denied carrying out a massacre in Tremseh, where activists claim more than 200 people were killed on Thursday.
State TV broadcast pictures of weapons said to have been seized during what it described as a "military operation" in the village.
The Foreign Ministry said security forces targeted "armed terrorists."
