Pablo Vegas, AEP Ohio's President & Chief Operating Office, discusses the storms that came through AEP Ohio on June 29. In Ohio alone, more than 660,000 people were affected. President Obama has signed an Emergency Disaster Declaration for Ohio and Governor Kasich declared a state of emergency for the entire state.

This storm is a larger event for the AEP system than Hurricane Ike that hit in September 2008. Winds speeds in Ohio ranged from 55 to 84 mph.
