Most of us dip into sea water using our feet but one man in California had other ideas.
The unnamed individual drove his car into the ocean. This happened in the Cherry Beach area of California. The large afternoon crowd witnessed the eccentric driver shouting ‘This is my beach!’ along with announcing his social security and uncontrollably weaving his Nissan sedan through the parking area before driving down the sands, straight into the sea. The car stopped several feet in the water before the odd driver and his passenger exited the vehicle and began to swim. While the passenger made off into the nearby bluffs, the driver swam deeper into the ocean before lifeguards caught up with the man and held him for police, who later sent him off for psychiatric testing.
Earlier this year, a woman was hospitalized after driving a Lexus into Ocean Beach in San Francisco. She reportedly gained access to the sands by using a ramp and traveled hundreds of feet before stopping in the water, almost halfway submerged in the surfs. Rescue workers successfully removed the driver from the vehicle, however she did encounter secondary injuries.
