Moncton Firefighters responded to a apartment building on Somerset in Sunny Brae area of the City, for a kitchen fire around 10:45 A.M. this morning. . Once firefighters arrived on scene smoke was coming out one of the windows in the front. Fire was knocked down quickly and was in the stove/ kitchen area of the apartment. Firefighters set up a fan for ventilation, and a Fire prevention officer was notified. Damage was contained to one apartment, red cross is also needed at the scene. Somerset was blocked off and firefighters used a ladder to gain access through a window. Nobody was injured in the fire.
