Driving down the Charles Lutes Road you could see flames shooting out of the west side of the home and people evacuating . Moncton Fire Department responded just before 1am . No fire hydrants close, so Firefighters had to set up a holding tank . District 11 RCMP arrived a short time later and then a Ambulance had to be called for a Firefighter that got struck in the head. Fire was also shooting out of the front of the house. NB Power arrived at 1:20am and at 1:45am another firetruck was needed to bring more water. Charles Lutes is the road that runs beside the Petro Canada Magnetic Hill, just outside the city limits this is why District 11 RCMP responded instead of Codiac Regional RCMP. Fast response by Firefighters, saved what could have been a total loss for this Family.
