Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Rayman 3D from Ubisoft for the Nintendo 3DS. Rayman 3D is a remake of Rayman 2: The Great Escape, one of the great platformers of the early 3D era. But releasing that game now, virtually unaltered from its original form, only highlights just how far the 3D platformer has come. Ubisoft didn't even bother to address the flaws inherent with any platformer from that era — a bad camera, most noticeably. The fact that Rayman 2's clunky camera was untouched is a microcosm of what went into Rayman 3D, which is seemingly the same stuff that comprises the character's limbs — nothing. This video review features video gameplay footage of Rayman 3D for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
