Santa Claus Parade Moncton 2010

What a magical evening, starting with snow right on cue just before the 2010 Santa Claus Parade that started on Main street at 6PM sharp in downtown Moncton, , little kids, big kids, lots of smiles, many many colorful floats, marching bands and of course SANTA himself. Parade went along Main street ending by the Champlain Mall with well over 100 entries. No snow and not feeling in the Christmas spirit yet this year until a woman named Viola sent me a message on my newschaser youtube site asking if I would shoot video of the Parade so she could surpise her husband. From getting messages from her blackberry so her husband didn't find out telling me where and when the float would be, keeping it all a surprise as they were very busy trying to put it all together, with a generator he rented wouldn't work so he bought some, he was telling me that he was out in the country just the same day getting bales of hay, and other stuff for the float, his wife later told me they even had a flat tire to throw into the mix and had a hour drive home after the parade in the snow, but you sure couldn't tell anything happened. As soon as I met these people and started shooting video before the parade I had goosebumps just like when I was a kid at Christmas. First time with a float in the Santa Claus Parade and were they all very excited. Snowflakes melting on the kids tongues as they looked up into the night sky, and Viola's husband was standing there with a big smile on his face as he was seeing it all come together , made the Christmas Spirit hit me ! 2 hours of shooting video in the snow, and then after I got home from a accident this morning around 3AM I started editing around 4:30AM, wanting to get this done for Viola and her Husband and the nice people I met on that float! 11:13AM Sunday morning and I'm done , just have to burn off a dvd for Viola. Have a very Merry Christmas, and Santa I want the same thing I wanted last year, instead of a H2 you could make it a H3 :) Video almost 15 mins long so to huge to upload as a mpeg but as a wmv file not as clear but Viola yours is the original mpeg on the DVD call me because its all ready:)#6 - Most Viewed (Today) - Reporters - Canada#5 - Most Viewed (This Month) - Reporters - Canada

Mabuhay (pronunciation: mah-BOO-high) is a Tagalog word used to exclaim "long live". Comparable to the Romance language expression "Vive, Viva", the salute associated with this exclamation; in which both arms are raised above the head in unison three times, is similar to that used in the Banzai. The expression is most often used at toasts (cheers!) during gatherings and parties, at rallies, political conferences, or for praising notable individuals. It is also an expression used in welcoming guests and a way of showing hospitality.
