Russia is putting the final touches to the Nord Stream pipeline, which will carry natural gas to Europe.
A quarter of the continent's gas is already supplied by Russia - but with the opening of this new route in the coming weeks, the country's powerful state-owned Gazprom company hopes to increase exports further.
