Ray Bradbury, an icon of American literature who helped popularize science fiction with works such as "The Martian Chronicles," died on Tuesday (June 5) at age 91. Bradbury published more than 500 works including "Fahrenheit 451," a classic novel about book censorship in a future society, and other favorites such as "The Illustrated Man" and "Something Wicked This Way Comes."
Sheryl Crow has announced that she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor last year. Crow, whose hits include "All I Wanna Do" and "Soak Up the Sun," said the tumor was discovered when she went to a hospital to be tested because she was experiencing memory loss.
American actress and singer Miley Cyrus is engaged to Liam Hemsworth, the Australian actor and "The Hunger Games" co-star, People magazine reported on Wednesday (June 6). The young couple has been dating on and off since shooting the film "The Last Song" together in 2009. According to the magazine, the 22 year old Hemsworth, who plays the role of Gale Hawthorne in "The Hunger Games" movie series, proposed on May 31 to Cyrus with a 3.5-carat diamond ring.
Three years after the death of Michael Jackson, his daughter, Paris, sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey. During the chat, which is scheduled to air on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), Jackson talked about what it was like to wear masks when out with her father, her friends and her upcoming movie role. The interview will air on June 10.
